On Sunday, we celebrated Bentley's first birthday with family and friends. We had the party and G&G Slagh's house in the hangar, and everything turned out perfectly. I was overwhelmed by themes when I had started to plan, so I decided to just do my own thing and keep in neat and simple. I made everything, including the decorations.
Here are some pictures of our fun day!
the hangar - all decorated for the birthday boy.
His birthday banner I made out of paper plates.
Gift Table
and yes, I did make the "poufs" myself too!
Food table, with his birthday picture sign
His cake.
One of my proudest accomplishments yet!
It was SOO fun and so easy to make, I can't wait till I can make another one next year!!!
Hammin it up at the kiddie table with cousin Craven.
Such adorable boy cousins!
Getting ready to open presents with Daddy!
Divin right in!
His ride on truck from his girlfriend Charley
(she helped him open almost everything, but she was most excited about this one)
Bubble Gun from Uncle Jim
Chuck the Truck!
A tractor! Can you see the "just give me that thing, Dad" look on his face?
Socks?? Really, Auntie Sarah?
(Being the bestest friend that she is, Sarah asked what he really NEEDED for his birthday, so I told her socks. He definatley wasn't thrilled, but Mom was!!!)
Gettin the hang of tearing open the wrapping paper!
Papa and Cohen takin a snooze during presents.
[[brandon and his crew worked on a road project alllll weekend long, pretty much around the clock, friday to sunday. no wonder papa was tired. daddy would have been doing the same thing if he could have gotten away with it!]]
A wagon! yay!!!!
Not sure who took this picture of Craven, but it is adorable, and it is totally him.
He loves tractors very much too!

frosting kisses for Papa.
he ate about half the cake, and three of the four doughnut tires.
his belly had to hurt.
the aftermath...headed for a bath in the sink
his friends enjoying his gifts while he gets a bath
Brandon and I had ordered this chair for him for his birthday, but it was on backorder so it didn't make it in time for the party.
It was waiting for him last night when he got home from Ms. Vickies.
I'm pretty sure I am more excited about it than he is...
...I mean why would he want a big plush chair when he can have a loader, dozer, dump truck and three new john deere tractors??
Thanks to all our family and friends for coming to celebrate our little prince. We truly cherish all the memories we have made this past year, and look forward to many more to be made!!!
