20 Months!

Another month come and gone...and you continue to grow and change.
One word to describe you would be: spitfire.
you are sugar AND spice...the perfect mix, if you ask me! ;)

you are 20 months, going on 20 years, somedays I feel.

Your vocabulary is increasing by the day and we are loving finally hearing you chat! Your favorite word is No, your second favorite is Papa. You ask for your Papa multiple times a day, and you squeal with excitement every time you see him. You also are starting to call your brothers by name..."bunwee" and "heeeee" are usually how they came out. You can say outside, go, bye, Nana, Brody, juice, milk, more, please and thank you (FINALLY!)

You hate being left behind, and you have to constantly keep up with your brothers. If you don't or can't actually participate, you have to give a big story complete with your chubby little arm and a pointed finger, about what they are doing, or what you think they should be doing.
You love anything with a steering wheel, and will play in the car or ranger for hours, if we would let you. You also love to eat, and lately you love to sleep, too.
You are a snuggler, and love to be held, but you're pretty darn heavy. All that chub is making it harder to hold you for long periods of time, while its super adorable and we hope you dont lose it too soon. You are a super sweet girl and love to give hugs and kisses, but we also sure know when you're mad or upset and want some space (insert chubby arm with pointing finger, again).
Mommy is anxious to see how the next few weeks go for you with your brothers transitioning back to school and being gone more. You and I are pretty close and you love to "help" me with everything I am doing, but I do expect you to be somewhat lost without them around!
Four short months and you will be two - it just doesn't seem fair!
xoxo princess, we love you more than you'll ever know.

July recap

Our july started busy, with the move, unpacking and trying to settle into our new place! The boys were total troopers and did great handling our busyness and helping us with some projects!

they had fun painting the storage room with us
They spent two weekends in a row up north with Casey & Kevin. We are forever indebted to you guys...
While they were gone we got so much done at the new house AND the old house, getting it ready to go on the market. We also were able to enjoy a great day at the beach as a family with some friends! Bentley went tubing for the first time with Jackson, but he didn't last long.
We also spent a lot of time at home - we just love our new place and find it hard to leave.
the kids are so content just playing in their new space
we picked blueberries with cousins and enjoyed a blueberry donut after. so yum, and so much fun!
We also visited John Ball Zoo with some friends. It was time for us to do something FUN together, and get away from all the "to do" things around the house and with the move. The kids really enjoyed it and i had fun just being able to focus on them!

The second weekend up north with Kevin & Casey. Bentley learned he really loves kayaking
Evie is a little water rat - but seriously, how old does she look?
Harrisons favorite part was fishing!
towards the end of the month, Bentley spent 24 hours in bed with the stomach flu. not how we wanted to start one of our last weekends of July, but he was a trooper and the unexpected lazy days and snuggles were amazing too.
we beat the heat swimming with some friends! the kids are all doing great in the water this year.
we also spent an evening at the fair with Nana and Papa. We watched the tractor pulls and did a few rides, along with enjoying some fair treats and junk food!

Miss Thang taking selfies! Seriously, I can't stop laughing. She even says "cheeeeeeeese" and everything!

One more month before school starts, and we are looking forward to doing some fun things to soak up the last of summer! :)
