20 weeks

We are officially halfway through another pregnancy...time flies! I am finally feeling human again, wanting to eat, cook, clean, be active, and not have to nap everyday anymore. It feels so good! I have not gained hardly any weight yet, so thats a bonus too (not that my guys ever let me sit still to even try, ha!) I am craving spicy things, candy, pizza, little ceasers breadsticks, authentic mexican food, donuts and pickles. Wierd, I know. I didn't really ever keep track of cravings before...though I did have serious food aversions to meat with all three pregnancies so far. Here are some more pics! :)

17 weeks.
18 week comparison.
{Bentley, Harrison, baby)
18 weeks
I believe I am starting to feel some minor flutters this week...if I lay or sit really still I think I am feeling movement. I'm pretty sure by the third I can decipher that it is truly movement and not just gas, but since it is so faint sometimes I still question myself. ;)

19 weeks
We found out its a healthy baby GIRL, much to our surprise! We were both sure, along with a handful of friends and family, that this baby was another boy. But we are so thankful for a princess; God is so good!
20 weeks.
Our 20 week checkup went well, baby girl showed a strong heartbeat at 153 and we reviewed our ultrasound which also looked really good. We are so grateful for a healthy baby.

The boys have changed their name for the baby to Cinderella, which they thought was more fitting for a "gril". Harrison is sure she should just be called Baby, because thats what she is. He also thinks he has a baby in his tummy, which had a "checkup" at 20 weeks as well. ;)

{weekend/rewind}

We finished our last weekend of "commitments and babysitters" this weekend. July was a busy month for us in that department!
Friday night we had pizza and played with some friends. The boys love having cart rides around the neighborhood with Jackson.
They couldn't decide who should be driving the gator, so they all piled in the front seat together. Too many chiefs, not enough indians! ;)
Saturday we slept in and played at home for most of the day. I can always find plenty to do around the house and the boys never pass up a chance to be in their sandbox. They even put dad to work on his day off!
Saturday night we headed out for my 10 year high school class reunion. Always fun to catch up with friends and never a dull moment with the bitties!!
the boys had a long overdue sleepover with G&G Slagh, where they spent most of their evening at the farm playing with all grampas toys.
no one, even grampa, passes up a chance to spend time on the farm playing "toys" together.
their cow friends
After some naps and a botched attempt at boating due to mother nature, we decided to take the kids to see Planes: Fire & Rescue on Sunday night.
It was their second movie in the theater and they did great! :)

We have a pretty quiet week this week, and are looking forward to getting caught up on some house chores after a busy weekend. We are also looking forward to hopefully boating this weekend, and enjoying some fireworks at Coast Guard! Hope everyone enjoys a great week as well.

{it's a....}

healthy baby girl!!!! :)

we are beyond blessed and so thankful to have gotten a good ultrasound report that a sweet baby girl will be joining our family in december! God is so good!
We decided to release balloons to give the boys a visual, and they kind of got it but kind of didn't. They were so upset that I let balloons go...and Harrison was bawling because he couldn't play in the sandbox. We still had fun and got some great pics to document the excitement!

{weekend/rewind}

harry kicked off our weekend with a 5 am wake up...and never went back to sleep. not sure if it was a fluke thing or he just missed his daddy (who got home after the boys were in bed Thursday night) but I could not get him back down. He was one blur of noise and movement.
We spent our morning cleaning the house and relaxing to get ready to head to Chels' pool for another bitty pool day. The boys always get so excited to swim and see all their aunties!
Harry threw all his fear aside and even jumped off the diving board repeatedly!
We headed home for naps and I packed them up to head up north overnight with Casey & Kevin.
They were SO excited to go, no tears were even shed when we said our goodbyes.
Daddy and I were excited about a weekend together full of plans with each other, and friends. Friday night we had planned to play golf but had to cancel due to Brandon's work schedule so we grabbed dinner instead.
We slept in Saturday morning until about 930 and then lounged till almost noon. Not something we get to do often, and honestly we were pretty lost with an empty house!
We spent the afternoon together at the shop working on stuff, I love to help my husband with his projects! We came home and snuck in a quick nap before heading out with friends to Berlin for the Primera Plastics 251. It was a perfect night for races!
We had a great time with our friends, watching some awesome racing.
We headed home after to our sleeping boys. I think I hardly slept Saturday night in anticipation of them waking up so I could smooch their sweet cheeks! Thankfully they slept until about 8.
Sunday morning I had nursery duty at church so Bentley came with to help while Daddy and Harry took a morning nap.
After naps we headed out on the boat. These two just love riding backwards and watching the wake.
We toured down to Saugatuck because the lake was gorgeous and went up in the harbor before beaching, having dinner and playing in the water and the sand.
{my 3 greatest blessings!}
It was another perfect weekend with {and without} my guys. One more busy weekend left and then we are opened up again until school starts! :)

boys' weekend away 2014

Casey, our beloved fifth family member and babysitter, asked to take our boys up to her parent's cottage this past weekend, for one night. Of course we knew they would have a ball and we had some things planned so it worked out perfect.

They headed up Friday after she was done with work, and she sent this picture upon their arrival. Too bad they don't look the least bit excited huh?
They got to work immediately with their trucks and tractors in the yard...right up their alley!
Kevin helped Bentley fish too, which they both loved.
Bentleys first fish!
bath time was in order and then bed. it was a late night but the boys slept good and were early to rise, ready to get moving again!
they headed right back outside, their favorite place to be.
there was no shortage of dirt, which means they are typically pretty happy.
all dirty and headed to the tub before heading home.
saying goodbye to the water
Kevin said not even a mile down the road and Harry was out. They slept all the way home, and transferred to their beds and slept all night.
Thanks Casey & Kevin for such a fun weekend - we know they will cherish these memories forever! We are so blessed by your constant love and devotion to our boys, words will never be able to convey how much you mean to us! Thanks again, we love you both!!! xo

Weekend rewind

This weekend started three of our busiest weekends all summer.
Friday morning I snuck out for a pedicure with Mom and Jenna at En Gedi. We grabbed breakfast and did some shopping after, so relaxing to have a fun morning out.
The boys played at Auntie Sarah's house and were sad to see me back so soon...
Friday night we hung at home, grilled out and snuggled up for a movie. We had a very busy week, and knew we had a few busy days coming up.
Saturday morning the boys got "ready for work" and went to clean the boat with Dad.
Since Dads truck doesnt hold two carseats, they took my car, which left me running for some groceries with the work truck. Complete with a back up beeper and all! ;)
We had afternoon naps and then headed to my cousins' wedding and then reception in grand rapids at the jw marriott. We had a gorgeous view of the river, and the entire hotel itself is just beautiful too!
so blessed by our amazing family.
and my gramma. she is my jam.
the boys had a long overdue night with Kevin and Casey (its been a busy summer!). They went to Kevin's farm where he let them bottle feed his baby calf, named Eugene. They had a blast!
He also let them help him drive the skid steer. No shortage of spoiling went on while we were gone!
We slept in Sunday morning and relaxed together before I headed out for Brandon's cousins baby shower. She is due next month with a sweet baby girl, who we can't wait to meet!
The boys had naps while I was gone and then we headed out to Craig's Cruisers to ride the go-karts. Bentley and I raced Harry and Daddy, who won. We think they got a head start. ;)
We went in and got the boys just a few tokens to play some games and win some tickets.
Bentley picked a game with dump trucks, where you just put the coin in and wherever it lands, it lands. a luck of the draw type game...and unbelievable he WON! he dumped one of the trucks, resulting in 134 tickets. He was pretty proud!
We counted our tickets (which Bentley and I had more of, by the way, but who's keeping score ;)) and picked out their prizes before heading to Culver's for dinner....Harrison enjoyed a little chicken with his ketchup.
It was a perfect weekend with my guys, and being able to enjoy some time away with just my hubbs. We have a quiet week this week before another busy weekend...which entails a pretty exciting surprise for the boys!! :)
