Friday favorites.

This week I am loving coffee, even more than normal. My sweet Harrison has decided to start waking up again, for night time feedings.

I am also loving my new bottle of CHI. I have gone a few months without it, and I'm not sure why cuz I forgot how amazing it makes my hair! :)

And my new target clearance section shades. Can't beat $8, especially when I have two little monkeys that like to be hard on them :)

Hope everyone has a good weekend!!!!

9 months [[harrison]]

My little Howie -

I am 100% completely utterly obsessed and in love with you. And this stage you are in right now. Your little world is growing by the second, literally, and watching your face light up as you explore is just amazing.
You are fully crawling, and all the sudden pulling yourself up on things to stand. This seriously happened like OVERNIGHT. And yor world just keeps growing. Now you can stand to play trains with your brother at the train table, and you can stand up on the couch to see what he is up to.
You have two bottom teeth and one top. Teething has not been treating you very kindly but you are still a trooper, and so far it hasn't much affected our amazing sleeping habits.
I just got out all the 18-24 month clothes for you. Some are big yet, but some fit (not surprisingly). I think that fact that theyve been worn and washed a few times helps them fit you sooner than they did your brother.
You are eating all foods now, and just starting to expirement with table foods. You like this new found freedom, and enjoying dinner time with us more now. You are still drinking 5-6 six ounce bottles a day, and getting food three times a day.
We are so so thankful for you and for the handsome little prince you are becoming. We cannot wait to see what the next few months bring as we approach your big first birthday! :)

xoxo
&& still, at 9 months, you and your brother remain VERY similar in your looks.

Amen to Jesus!

Bentley loves to pray. He loves to hold hands, and pretend to close his eyes, all the while smiling while we pray at mealtime and bedtime. He is starting to repeat some words we say, especially at night since we pray the same prayer every night. So lately I have been asking him if he would like to pray at dinner time. Finally this week he said yes.

He grabbed our hands, closed his eyes and said
"thank you, Jesus." he looked up at me for where to go next.
I told him that maybe he could ask Jesus to help his brother feel better,
so he said "help my brother better, Jesus."
Then we told him to say Amen and he put his arms up and yelled "Amen to Jesus!"

It was so exciting and rewarding to watch this happen. More importantly it was something I know I am going to love having documented someday!

So, Amen, Jesus! Thank you for living in the heart of our sweet boy!

Valentines Day Preparations. xo

I get such joy out of seeing my boys smile, so I love to "spoil" them, even on "hallmark" random holidays. This year I was able to find some steals in the dollar section at Target to make fun little baskets for the little boys...
and I decided to make a "favorite things" basket for my hubby. This was SO fun, and I think I might try and outdo myself each year and keep the tradition going. :)
His basket included his favorite candy: peanut m&ms, handpainted can coolies to match his boat (his favorite "toy") and some golf tees, to represent his favorite pass time. Just little things...pretty inexpensive, but fun!!
The boys and I made some valentines together, too.
I had some heart stickers that I put on their hands/feet (Harrisons hands didn't work so well, so we used his feet) and made some valentines cards to send to the grandparents in Florida, and great gramma too!! Bentley thought it was so fun, especially seeing the heart after he lifted his hand off the paper.
We have big plans for valentine's day, including a lunch date with friends, so we made some actual non-candy valentine treats to exchange. We hit up the dollar store for the dinosaurs and cars, and got out some paper, glue and scissors.
these are car keychain lights. can't beat $.75 a piece.
And I couldn't resist the slightly tacky but adorable saying ;)
For our big valentines day lunch date, i whipped up some shirts for my boys and Sawyer. They are sure to be the handsomest boys in town! :)
We hope you have a Happy Valentine's Day celebrating with the ones you love, too!

sister weekend with the boys

We had a very relaxing weekend. We spent Friday night with some friends and saturday night we had a sleepover at Auntie Nenna's house. Just us two sisters and our boys. :)

Harry fell asleep on the way there...I laid him in Sawyer's pack n play bassinet only to realize there is hardly anything baby about him anymore.
He is slightly obsessed with cousin Sawyer's Mamaroo swing. All smiles when hes in it.
we ordered pizza, played trucks with the boys, did hair, drank wine, laughed and had some serious talks - just what sister nights are all about!!!
11 pm we were greeted by this guy, who announced he "just woke up" and "would yike some pizza".
we didn't get a whole lot of sleep, though we were in bed by 1030. At one point in the night all three boys were up and crying! But we had so much fun and Bentley thoughts having a sleepover was the greatest thing! :)

We relaxed and caught up on sleep Sunday...and took care of a flu stricken Daddy. Monday morning brought us a huge to do list, and a puking Harrison..which meant a lot of boiling, sanitizing and bleaching, along with washing anything and everything that will fit in the wash machine! :)
good riddance flu bug - we have a busy week...please, disappear as fast you arrived. :)

[[BIG]]and[[little]] first sleepovers

We had a very very busy and fun weekend this weekend, and both boys were able to celebrate more firsts!

Friday we hung at home and had a snow day.
and the boys made messes for me....
Harrison got "bit" by his first tractor. He didn't cry for long, but he was pretty mad at first!
Saturday afternoon we packed up and headed to the doubletree hotel for Miss Willa's first birthday party! Bentley loved swimming, even though the water was not very warm.
watching brother swim.
it took him about 20 minutes to get brave enough to leave the stairs.
Harrison went and had a sleepover at Jenna & Robert's so we could spend some one on one time with Bentley - this was his first sleepover at their house! He did awesome, as he always does. :)

Bentley had his first sleepover in a hotel. He got a big bed, all to himself, and once we got him to stay in bed (which was a chore) i took him all of 30 seconds to pass right out.
The pool was too cold Sunday morning so we improvised instead.
Cutest baby buns ever, if i might say so myself.
We came home Sunday after church and got the house ready to have some friends and their kids overs for super bowl. The kids had a super fun night playing together and it was fun to have some adult time as well! :)
11 kids and 16 adults made for a messy house and a lot of dishes - but i was able to get it all cleaned up after everyone left and enjoy a glass of wine before bed.
