Christmas 2012

We celebrated Christmas Eve with my parents and the Kaindls. The boys had such a fun night of family and presents.
Can you tell Gramma was around by the evidence on Harry's cheek? ;)

it was the year of the train for Bentley. He got plenty of trucks too but trains were a hot item this year!
Grampa & Gramma and their boys!
Baby Sawyer.
Santa (Gramma) brought Robert, B & Vern remote controlled choppers. They were a huge hit.
Bentley was kind of scared of them at first but he warmed up enough to even let one fly off his hand! Its just above Vern's head if you look close...
Christmas Morning at Home with their new trucks.
Playing trucks together
more playing together. i love them.
we spent the afternoon relaxing, napping and watching Christmas movies together.
And enjoyed an evening of fondue with the kaindls.
We had a great day with our boys. We are truly blessed!

Cousins Christmas 2012

Sunday night we had a little cousins christmas party with Vienings. It's always so fun to see the boys together..they don't see each other near enough.
Opening presents together.

Cohen and Harry - the same size...and 9 months apart. We grow babies on the opposite ends of the spectrum!
Baby Sawyer came to join in the fun too.
Cousins.
I hope these boys grow up to be the best of friends and always have so much fun together. There is nothing better than having a handful of cousins all the same age...wait...having them as your neighbor would be the BEST! (hint hint, Sister Hoe!) It was such a fun night...we love you Craven & Cohen! Sawyer too!!

Santa Clause is coming to...

The Posmas?

That's right! :)
Bentley and Harrison got a visit from their very own Santa Clause this year. What a fun night it was...they were so excited, and neither of them even cried! :)
so excited he didn't know what to do!
a little unsure about all the hub bub...but still no tears!
helping get out the loot.
Santa & his boys!
kisses for Santa to say "thank you" for his awesome presents!
Helping brother open his present.
Nobody understands an economic recession better than Santa...so Bentley opened a present he got two years ago that never made it out of the box :) That Santa is so frugal, I tell ya!
It was such a fun night celebrating Christmas with our boys and B's parents. Thank you SO much Papa & Nana for taking the time to make a special night for the boys and for the wonderful presents. We are so spoiled. :) Love you!!!

7 month comparison

At Harrison's 6 month well baby checkup last week (he was almost 7 months) our pediatrician told me that he thinks our boys are going to start looking more and more alike as Harrison gets older. Here is the most recent comparison...I don't think he's far off ;)

WeekInReview::

We had a quiet but very productive week this past week. Christmas is in full effect in this neck of the woods! :)

Monday we painted our annual batch of salt dough ornaments. Some are gifts and some I keep for our tree.
Tuesday we set out downtown to finish our last little bit of Christmas shopping.
Bentley loved being able to run freely down 8th street.
stopped for a photo op! ;)
during naptime I baked up some cookies so Bentley could decorate them...because I knew we were going to have a special visitor after dinner && I didn't want him to go hungry!
Wednesday we had a jammy day and I got all the wrapping done. I don't wrap until I have all the gifts bought, because I am one of those that totally forgets what I bought. :)
Thursday we had a Christmas party with friends. The boys love when we go to the neighbors because they get to ride shotgun together thru the neighborhood. :)
Friends at the party!
Friday we had another busy day...and a good reminder of who's really in control.
We had our annual Grandkids christmas with my Gramma. These are all her great grand blessings...that we like to call chaos. 7 boys and only 2 girls. We forsee the next few years of christmas taking place at Craigs Cruisers...or maybe in a boxing ring! ;)
We have a fun weekend planned with more parties, family time and a night out with friends.
In case we don't get back before Tuesday...we wish everyone a Blessed && Very Merry Christmas! We hope you have a great time celebrating with those you love! xo

DHE Christmas 2012

I mentioned earlier being consumed by Brandon's work party. Well it has come and gone, and I now believe I have recovered enough to write about it. It's a lot of work to plan something like this! Phew!
We started out having the annual Christmas breakfast at the shop. The boys had an early morning, but both did great. They love being around Daddy and the "big guys".
Harry hung in the doorway and greeted all the guests this year.
the chefs.
The future of DHE! :)
After cleanup we headed out to the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in GR and checked into our rooms.
We had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse....
and ended the night at Dr. Grins at the B.O.B.
It was such a fun night spending time with our friends and co workers, celebrating another fun and successful year!!
&& these two.
There are no words for these two on nights like last Friday...but they make one of the best teams around when it comes to moving dirt. And there is plenty to be said about being a good team, especially with a person you call your brother and someone you've grown up with your entire life.
Congrats to Dad, B, Rich and all of DHE on another fun and successful year of business. We are looking forward to what 2013 has in store!

7 months :: Harrison

My sweet little Harry-
Here we are, over halfway through your first year. Amazing how fast time flies, and how fast you've lost everything baby. Seriously...it slipped my mind how the baby-ness disappears overnight.
Your personality is showing more by the minute and I just love it. You are very sweet and snuggly...you love to be held and smooched on. You are very curious and love to stare intently at things that catch your attention. You are determined, I can see that already. And you are always always smiling. You are so precious.
You are sleeping 10-12 hours at night...in fact you slept 14 last night. You take two naps. Your morning nap is usually pretty short depending on what we are up to but you take a 2-3 hour afternoon nap...the same time your brother does.
You are in 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. You are eating 6-8 ounces and getting spoon fed twice a day. Mostly veggies...you like them so far so I didn't want to tempt you with fruit. :)
You love love love having your brothers attention. You smile the biggest in the morning when he wakes up and acknowledges you. You are so happy playing on the floor as long as he is in your sight. We recently just moved you to a convertible carseat from your infant carrier and you can now see your brother. You laugh almost all the time at him while we are driving. You also love daddy. Daddy and I can tickle you in the neck the exact same way and you only laugh when daddy does it.
You are starting to scoot forward on your belly and trying to crawl but aren't quite there yet. You are close though, my little love. You are also very close at getting a tooth, or two. All the things go in your mouth these days, and if they're not, your crying. :)
We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with you and seeing your reaction to all the excitement!! We love you sweet boy, keep smiling. Forever and ever.
Xoxoxo

WeekInReview

It's kind of crazy to think that two(ish) weeks brings us a new year!
We are looking forward to what the new year has in store...are you?

Here is what we were up to last week...

I hate not starting Mondays off on the right foot. It just throws a whole wrench into my week.
This, my friends, MADE my whole week.
We could not be more proud of the love that B has for his new cousin, and for the gentle way he expresses it. We are SO blessed.
We had a quiet afternoon, so I whipped up some "moon sand" for Bentley. It's become a huge hit!
It is a bit messy, but vacuums up well.
tuesday was another busy day of running errands. I had the opportunity at night to serve dinner with some other local moms, to some homeless mothers and children. Excuse my hot hair net :)
this was an amazing experience. how often we take little things, like our homes and food for granted. I am looking forward to being able to do this again!
Bentley's new bed came for his weekend away at G&G's house...he was pretty excited about it!
Wednesday wrapped up loose ends for our weekend of Christmas parties.
I spent HOURS on these name tags. Not that I had too, but I wasn't going to quit until they were just perfect. and I couldn't have been more thrilled with how they turned out.
Thursday Bentley uses a new technique to make sure Gapa doesn't get out of the house without him!
&& Harry takes down Craven's birthday decorations about as quick as we can put them up. He was pretty proud of his misbehavior...he had a few older cousins and his brother egging him on. :)
We had a great night celebrating Craven turning THREE! You are such a doll, Craven, we are so proud of you and love you TONS!!! xoxo
Friday marked the start of all things christmas for Brandon's company, and the end of our busiest week in December yet. We all survived to tell about it..after a saturday of a 4 HOUR nap for the entire family. It might have been a small miracle. :)
