Harrison Lee -
It breaks my heart to admit to myself that your infancy is gone. As tough as the first weeks are, I am realizing now more than ever they are my favorite, and they go far too fast.
I cleaned out your closet this week, after trying multiple three month outfits on you that were 3/4 sleeve and made themselves v-necks when I snapped the crotch. You are in 6 month and 6-9 month clothes and size two diapers. This was a big sign you are no longer an infant, to me. I also took the head support out of your carseat - you were just looking uncomfortable in it. Again, infancy = gone.
You are my good little sleeper still. You are taking two good naps during the day and sometimes a quick snooze around dinner depending on how busy our day was. You go down around 8 at night and sleep till about 8 in the morning. You have NO idea what a blessing this is to me that you sleep 12 hours at night.
You are taking 6 ounces ever 3-4 hours and getting oatmeal cereal from a spoon once a day. This is going really well so I am planning to bump your cereal feedings up to two a day in the next few weeks. You have also tried a little bit of applesauce and avacado and didn't complain about either.
We go for you 4 month checkup in a few weeks, I am so anxious to see how you compare to your brother in size. Daddy and I both think you are bigger.
You smile and giggle almost constantly when you are awake, and you are starting to grab at your toys. You love to suck on your hands, and Sophie, as long as I have the time to hold her to your mouth for you. ;) You rolled all the way over for the first time yesterday, but you have been rolling side to side for a few weeks now. You are getting better with sitting up, but would still prefer the bumbo or the saucer. You also like to stand, and flail your arms. Daddy says this is your way of letting Bentley know that you're gonna be big someday too, and pay him back for picking on you like he does all the time. Oh yes, I should mention that Bentley likes to try to carry you. In an effort to promote sibling bonding, I try to help him with this as much as possible. Until last week when he decided he was done and just dropped you. Thankfully we were on carpet, even though you hit your head. Daddy kindly reminded your big brother that someday you will pay him back for that! :) Most of the time though, you smile and giggle the biggest and loudest when you get attention from Bentley. I can already tell you guys are going to be big buddies!
Bentley helps us tuck you in every night, kisses your forehead and tells you he "wuvs oo howie." I hope this continues for so many years to come!
We thank God for you every day, little Harry. You are such a blessing to us and our family. We cannot wait to see how the Lord works as your grow and develop a personality.
We love you to the moon and back, sweet boy! xo
