{{weekend/rewind}}

We spent another beautiful weekend outside! :) We are just loving this warm summer weather, finally! Friday we went to aunt Pam's pool with the Elenbaas girls and did some swimming.
Miss Evie Girl napped, and enjoyed the water for a bit too!
Friday night we played couples golf with friends and enjoyed some dinner, drinks and adult time! :)

We had a lazy morning Saturday at home while daddy worked, then we headed to the boat. We had intentions of going to Grand Haven for the Frozen Musical Fountain but the further north we got, the rougher the lake got so we turned back. We did not want to come home in the dark in rough waters with the kids. We had a fun and gorgeous night for a boat ride anyway!
We spent the night on the boat and woke up sunday to head out again! We headed to Saugatuck to tie up and hang out with friends. Evie is just a boating princess so far, she is allll smiles, all the time!
The water was great so we spent all did in and out of the water. Daddy's girls enjoyed floating in the raft together. Bentley swam like a little fish and harry stayed dry all day! ;)
We grabbed pizza from Gables and headed home. It was a long day but so much fun!!

Boys' weekend away {{2015}}

The boys spent a night up north with Casey and her family this past weekend. This is the second year in a row now that they've gotten to go up there and spend some time, and they love it.
Here are some pictures Casey shared...more for my memory keeping than anything ;)

Bentley came home and was so proud to tell us he jumped off the "big dock!"
We are so thankful that Casey, and her entire family love our children just as much as we do! :)

our friday started off lazy and overcast, so Evie napped and I cleaned while the boys played. After that, we headed to OMT for lunch with Daddy. The boys were to be heading up north with Casey for a night, so this was a good chance for them to say bye. Little Miss rocked her Dirtech onesie with tutu for the occasion!
After work, Kevin & casey picked up the boys for their annual trip to the cottage for a night. The boys were super excited to go!
Evie went to bed and daddy and I had a date night in, grilling out and having a fire together. Love quiet nights at home! Saturday morning Daddy went to work, Evie and I met great gram for breakfast and then hit farmer's market before the rain.
We sat down for pedicures just as the storm rolled in - couldn't have been better timing. Evie sat like a sweet angel the entire time on GG's lap. Maybe next time she can get a pedi too!
The boys came home around noon, and we spent the afternoon outside in the humidity and sun playing in the sprinkler and sandbox.

We came in to snuggle up for movie time before Sawyer went back to Gramma's.
We had biiiiiiig naps on Saturday and had planned to go boating, but woke up just in time for the storm to hit. So we watched that roll in, played together, watched Evie backwards scoot into everything, and caught some more baby toads after the storm passed. We put them to "bed" in this bucket, but they were already gone when we woke up the next day! ;)
Sunday we went to early church and then headed out for a full day on the boat. Evie has a love/hate with her sunhats, because they flop in front of her eyes. I tried the boys' work hats, and that was a winner! She kept in on, and it stayed out of her eyes! We also pumped up the inflatable for the kids to play on, the guys enjoyed some r&r too!
We cruised back and headed to the club for dinner. Evie was ready to sit in a big girl chair and have dinner with all her friends! ;)
We have a pretty busy week ahead, thankful for a relaxing weekend to recoup! :)

We kicked off our weekend spending the afternoon at the Auntie Chels' pool with the bitties and our kids. It is so fun to still get together, and now watch our kids play together. The boys both did great swimming.
Evie napped in her wagon and then took a dip, too. She wasn't so sure at first but she did warm up!
I am so thankful for these friends I've had since childhood...I hope and pray my kids have such awesome friends some day too!! (Auntie Smalls holds his heart! :))
After a quick nap and change of clothes we headed out to Berlin to see the monster trucks with Gramma, Grandpa and some friends and cousins we rarely get to see!
The show was phenomenal as expected and the kids had so much fun!!!

Evie stayed with Tami while we were gone, and had her first 'non family' sleepover. She did great! We sure missed her though!
We had a lazy Saturday at home, catching up on house chores, playing and spending time with Quinn and Foster. These two little beauties spell trouble! :)
Saturday night we headed out on the boat with friends to Grand Haven for dinner. Its always so fun to be able to have nice weather to use the boat, and do it once in a while without the kids! :) I got to see Miss Kasey after we haven't crossed paths in quite a while so that was fun too!!
I love this man! And I love being able to be just a wife sometimes too. With all the hours he works, it is rare we get time together just us two, but when we do, I soak it up!!!
After church sunday we headed back to the boat. Summer is flying bye and we wanted to soak up every nice day we can before we are buried in snow again!
We anchored at Laketown and sat on the beach for a few hours.
The kids love playing in the sand, and the babies are really starting to have fun together too, in the shade of course! ;)
The boys are doing so well on the boat this year. They listen, they sit nice and they keep themselves entertained when we need them too! We are so proud of the little boaters they have become!
Our upcoming week is pretty quiet, really. We are looking forward to some more summer fun!!
