Harry goes to preschool

This past week was Harrison's first day of Preschool.
He is going to go FOUR half days this year!
The first week he was also "star helper" so I got to stay and be in the classroom with him!
We had so much fun learning and exploring together. He chose to read some books in the loft...
&& build some towers out of blocks! He really takes pride in his building!
We are looking forward to a great year, we cannot wait to watch him learn and grow, academically but also in his FAITH!

21 months

Girlfriend -
You change by the minute. Second, almost. And your personality, words and emotions are larger than life these days. We are having too much fun with you, and are all too often reminded there is hardly any baby left in your little mind and body anymore.
You are SO happy, all the time. You are also SO dramatic, a lot. You're learning all the fun "tricks" and ways to get attention, very quickly, and you aren't afraid to use them.
You love shoes. In fact, you sleep with yours on. You asked to wear them in the bathtub last night even. And by shoes, I mean crocs. I can't wait for snow just so those things can disappear. ;)
Keeping up with your brothers is a must, and with both of them starting school this month you've been a little lost. But you sure love the time do you get with them, and they are giving you more attention now probably than they ever have.
You also love to sing and dance. Daddy thinks you'll be a performer of sorts, someday.
Life has been pretty crazy so I'm lacking on pics, but I'll leave this adorable video here instead.
It's hard to believe you'll be two in no time, but we are loving watching you learn, grow and change. You are a dear blessing to us princess, and we couldn't love you more!

Bentley turns 6

the second day of school was Bentleys 6th Birthday // big week for our big dude!
before school started and over the long weekend, Gma & Gpa took him shopping for some new shoes that he wanted for school. He picked out camoflauge ones, of course! ;)

On his birthday we had pancakes with a candle in it. We had to even wake up his brother and sister for them to sing. ;)
I wrote a note for his lunch and he opened his present before school. he later told me he loved the note but he couldn't read it! LOL

We went out for a special dinner with Nana and Papa + Grampa and Gramma to "china", which is his favorite. We all ate way too much and had so much fun! :)
Happy Birthday sweet boy - we love you so much!!

Bentley goes to kindergarten

Last week our biggest boy started Kindergarten.
He was so excited, and a little nervous too!

Reflecting now, I see that the whole week was a lot harder for ME than it was for HIM. He was a champ, and was even up early for two days in a row, because he was so excited!

He wanted to ride the bus but we had a glitch with his bus tags, so I brought him the first morning. He was excited to have a locker, too!

The second day he started riding the bus. We all love walking a few doors down twice a day to the bus stop, and Harrison gets SO excited to greet his buddy every afternoon! :)

We spent the first week staring at each other because we were all a little lost without our B, but we are finding a new "norm" and live for the time we get to see him off the bus! We are excited for a great year for Bentley and we cannot wait to watch him grow this year.

tigers game

Last week we were blessed with an opportunity to spend the day at Comerica Park, watching a tigers game. None of us had ever been, so we were pretty excited!

We had a fun ride there in Papa's bus, and spending a WHOLE day during the week with Daddy was a huge bonus too!

The park itself is so cool, we had fun walking around, and snapping tourist pics!
Nana, Papa, Vienings and Posmas! So many memories!
We had an awesome view with our suite right off third base!
Papa and his boys
The littles enjoyed some cartoons when they got bored mid game in the afternoon. Sitting next to all the food was pretty cool, too! ;)
my handsome and i!
Most of our group...
The reason for our trip was to celebrate Great Grandpa turning 81. He requested a Tigers game, so we celebrated with FOUR generations!
It was so much fun and so many memories made, a day our boys will talk about for a while, for sure!
Miss Evie stayed home and hung out with her favorites, Auntie Sarah and Uncle Chase. We are so blessed by awesome friends who help with our little princess!

August recap

Just like that its September 1 and back to school time!
August was the perfect mix of busy and fun and we were able to wrap up our summer days doing some things we love!
We spent a lot of time outside in the backyard, playing in the pool, and watching Evie soak everything in sight. ;)
The boys and I were also able to sneak away for a beach day together, sans baby sis. We enjoyed a gorgeous day and even rented a kayak for a little paddle around lake mac! the boys LOVED it and have asked to go again many times since.
While we enjoyed the beach, Evie enjoyed the pool with Kaindl's and Gma. She is a little water rat and does so well swimming with her puddle jumper on!
The boys spent one morning at "work" with Papa in the loader. They all had too much fun, and Evie got her first loader ride when we came back to pick them up!

We had another beach day with friends, and sis this time. The kids sure love the beach and our days there were a highlight for us all!

We FINALLY had a chance to take the boat out, for the first time all season. So crazy how busy we have been! It was a perfect night, but it was cut short by some engine trouble. It's always something!

We spent a weekend camping at Whiskey Creek and celebrating Cohen's birthday. The boys were gifted some new quads, so needless to say they kept plenty busy. Evie enjoyed following them and helping daddy drive in the ranger!

Camping was one of our best weekends we had all summer. Thank you to the Viening families and the Turkstra families for contributing to it! <3

We spent one last day at the splash pad with our old neighbors. The kids were so excited to see their friends again!
We spent some time at Gpa's farm visiting with our buddy Dar. He was able to take a couple hour trip out of the nursing home, and we are so happy to see him on the mend - God is good!

Daddy brought home a skid steer and started a project in the backyard. The kids loved watching him brushog and clear in the woods!
And we all laughed when he got himself stuck!
We celebrated Uncle Robert's birthday! Blowing out candles is too much fun.
Bentley went to school to meet his teacher and we went shopping for his supplies. It's crazy to think he starts Kindergarten this year, I am going to miss my buddy being home with me, but we are looking forward to a schedule and routine.
B spent some more time clearing and burning brush in the backyard. He even built the boys their own tiny fire!
Too much fun having equipment at home - tracking it back to the trailer had to be a family affair, of course! ;)

The last week of August (the week before school) Bentley and I did Kinder Orientation and rode the bus to and from school. He is just too big, and we could't be more proud!

September is shaping up to be a busy month for us as we anticipate back to school, Bentleys birthday, and adjusting to routines again! We are praying with all of you as we all adjust together; Lord knows it will be a challenge! ;)
