{{weekend//rewind}}

We spent an awesome winter weekend up north with Brandon's family last weekend! So much fun and so many memories!

Friday night I did wine and canvas with his mom and sister. we had a great time, and my masterpiece didn't turn out too bad, either!
We took the boys snowmobile up there, which hasnt been ridden for a few years. It needed some TLC but then it was good to go! Bentley was the first brave soul on it!
Saturday morning we hit the gas before the garage door was all the way up, and caught his head on the way out OOPS! After that he got very confident and comfortable and we couldn't hardly get him off it!
He even took Sawyer for a little ride! We spent Saturday evening playing in the barn, relaxing and enjoying pizza. Everything Evelyn gets on, they think she has to be pushed!
Sunday morning we had breakfast and went sledding. Bentley and Harrison had fun, Sawyer took a spill and became a little skeptical.
Not too much time went bye before the boys asked to get the sled out again! Harrison and Bentley took turns following Papa around the trails on the property, and Sawyer had fun going in constant circles in the driveway! ;)
While trail riding on the property, Papa had to stop to turn around because of a downed tree. He turned Bentley around and told him to wait while he turned around his Ranger. Bentley took off and followed his trail all the way back. He walked in the door and announced "Papa got stuck, and I left him there!" hahahaha
Next was Harrisons turn and he does great riding but struggles with his judgement of distance. He drove into the back of the groomer, behind Papa's Ranger. Just twice, and then he got the hang of it!
So many fun memories -- Thanks Nana & Papa for having us! We love you!

Thirteen Months {ebp}

Tritty Girl -
You are so crazy right now! You are total sugar AND spice...and everyone knows it! Your personality is growing by leaps and bounds...as is much of everything in your little world right now. Though you still are not walking you can get into anything and everything you want too - you are very persistent. You are also very loud and wear your emotions on your sleeve. Its pretty funny to watch such a small person exhibit such large emotion!
You have crazy hair...and it matches your crazy fun attitude. You love to play, especially with your brothers....but are starting to let them know when you're upset, too! you yell loudly and swing your arms around at them. Its really pretty cute, and funny to watch.
You're walking along furniture and standing alone, but not walking alone yet. Getting closer all the time. You love to eat, pretty much anything, but spaghetti, pizza and pb&j are some favorites. You love milk...and I am currently trying to wean your bedtime bottle. You are in 18-24 month clothes and size 5 diapers. You are sleeping about 12 hours at night with for sure one, sometimes two naps a day. You are starting to dance, clap, say mama, dada, down, oh (for uh oh) and you love to babble.
We cant wait to watch you continue to grow and change - you are just the sweetest and so laid back! We love you, beauty girl!

January Celebrations!

Last weekend we were able to get away for two days to celebrate Brandon turning 33, and celebrate Christmas with our Dirtech family! We checked into the Amway Grand around noon on Saturday...had a gorgeous view from the 24th floor...nearly in the clouds!
We mixed a drink and enjoyed each others company while we waited for our crew to trickle in. We had appetizers at the hotel restaurants before meeting back up for dinner.
We had dinner at Bulls Head Tavern right across from the hotel. It was AH-mazing...totally would recommend it. The service was impeccable too! We grabbed a quick drink up at Cygnus 27 before heading to the Van Andel.
We had some great seats for a griffins game! We enjoyed the game, and watching Jake play catch with his popcorn! ;)
Cheers to another birthday for my prince, and another successful year for Dirtech!

Christmas break 2015

Oh Christmas Break, I was so excited for you to come, and even more excited to watch you go! This family does so much better on a schedule...cheers to back to school!

During Christmas break we did some fun things together, made some memories, and spent many days at home playing and snuggling. It was perfect...and messy...happy,crabby and wild...

I saw my Gramma off to Florida for the season. Always a bittersweet time for me; I know she loves it, but I miss her so much! Already looking forward to April!
Evie got a chair for Christmas, which has quickly become her everything. Its her throne, and its her quiet space...its her giggles and her snuggles. She loves it!
Bentley got an artist pad for Christmas, he spent much time during break drawing masterpieces. Its fun to see his imagination at work, and watch his drawing skills grow.
It snowed...Finally! The kids had so much fun playing outside in it!
We spent a morning at Catch Air in Grand Rapids. The kids had a great time, and Evie had a great morning snuggling with Gramma!
After playing we enjoyed a great lunch date before coming home for some relaxation
Our cousins returned a race track we had lent them, which was like Christmas all over again! We also enjoyed having daddy home a lot, and reading bedtime stories all together.
We had a breakfast date turned play date at Tim Horton's with some cousins! so fun to be able to have impromptu mornings!

Evelyn went sledding down the small hill in our backyard with the boys...they all had a blast! :) Giggles all around!

It has taken us half a week to get back into our routine, we were noticeably late for school 2 of the 3 days so far this week! eek! So far so good...a routine does feel really nice!

Welcome 2016!

We rang in the new year with friends, and kids. It was the perfect laid back night with great food and great fun! :)
New Years day we went bowling with G&G Slagh and Kaindls. The boys are at great ages for bowling, they had so much fun! The adults had fun too! ;)

2015 was an awesome year for us, in so many ways!
We are looking forward to what God has in store for us for 2016!!
