Saturday we finally un-winterized the boat and put it in the water.
I was a bit nervous and how Bentley would do, since he is crawling now, but of course, he did fantastic. We put in at Port Sheldon and beached for a while. The water was freezing, but we did get off the boat for just a few minutes. Bentley loves the water and was hanging over my arm trying to get to it. Despite the freezing temp (we are talking like maybe 50 degrees), he splashed like a wild man when I set him in it!! He didn't splash real long, I am sure his legs went numb, but he enjoyed the little bit he was in it.
About 6 we decided to take off for Holland and head to Boatwerks for dinner. The lake was flat, and it was a gorgeous night, so it made for a great ride. We ran with 4 other boats and tied up at Boatwerks and grabbed some dinner and drinks. As soon as we left Port Sheldon channel, Bentley fell asleep in my arms. He slept the whole way to Holland and all thru the channel and Lake Mac till we got to Boatwerks.
He cashed out on the way home again.
We had a great day on the boat together and are hoping for some nice weather so we can do it again this coming weekend!!
