Bentley Ivan -
You are 9 months old! Where has the time gone?? Daddy and I are loving watching you grow into a little boy and teaching you new things. Here are a few things you are up to these days.
You eat eat eat like none other. I have recentley started making your baby food instead of buying the jarred stuff at Meijer - this has been quite an expierence for us all, a good one to say the least. I have gotten you to eat things that you wouldn't touch before. Things like peas, broccoli and carrots. You still eat alot, and seem to eat often, but you are a growing boy! You also enjoy eating cheerios, goldfish and rice chex all of which you feed to yourself now. You like pretty much anything Daddy eats, as well, and whine until he shares. These things include macaroni, pizza, and ice cream, which is quickly becoming your favorite. You still drink 2-3 bottles per day, but are learning to enjoy water and cranberry juice from your sippy cup instead.
You are wearing mostly 12 month clothes, some 18 month clothes if they are one piece outfits. You are still in size 3 diapers, and occasionally I can squeeze you into some 9 month things yet.
You still take two naps during the day, one in the morning for about an hour and half and one in the afternoon for about 2 hours. Somedays you don't nap at all, and somedays you seem to want to do nothing, but sleep. You do nap much better at Ms. Vickies, though. You are sleeping from about 930 at night until 730 in the morning, most of the time without waking up, but sometimes you do wake up once or twice.
You are crawling everywhere and getting faster by the day. You are also climbing the stairs. You are pulling yourself up on everything, and will take a few steps, but don't go too far yet.
You will take a few steps if we hold your hands, so we know its only a matter of time before you are walking by yourself.
You love to play with your trucks and tractor toys the most, but you also love your music table. You also like to "play" with anything you aren't supposed to, such as: the dog bowls, anything you can get your hands on in the dishwasher while it is open, anything you can find in your diaper bag or mom's purse, sunglasses, mom's camera, the dogs toys (ew!) and the list goes on. You always give us the cutest naughty little smile when we catch you with these things though...you sure know how to charm!
You also know how to wave "bye bye" and you know how to do "so big". You also taught yourself how to "jumpy jumpy" if you are standing, and you turned it into a rock on your knees if we say it when you are crawling. It is usually accompanied by your adorable little head bob.
We love you to the moon and back, little one, and can't wait to see what the future holds for you & our family!!!
